Antispyware schedule

Ever since downloading the extended time period I have been unable to
schedule a time for the scan at any PM time. No matter how often I try to
alter the schedule as soon as I click on OK it defaults back to 08.00am.
Microsoft dont want to know. Anyone out there got an answer?

Set your language for Windows to English (united states)

Then schedule the scan for your chosen time of 8:00 PM.

Then reset the language setting to your original choice.

The scan will continue to be scheduled for 8 PM.

I have a similiar problem. I can't get the scheduled scan to run at all. I
can run a manual scan but the scheduled one does not work. I can also set the
schedule for any time I want but and it says it is set to run everyday at
2:00 am, but it never does. (I've tried other times as well) My language is
set to English. What else can I try?

Hello Cowboy,

Go to start/Control Panel/Country settings
Change Language to US English.
Click on Apply
Open MSA change all your time settings the way you wont.
Click on "Update Schedule"
Then go back to set your default Language.
MSA will scan and update on the right time!
Don't Click "Update Schedule", anymore, then it go's back to the AM
times again!

Apparently you didn't read the next to last sentence on my post where it says
"My language is set to English." Any other suggestions?

Hi Cowboy,

I'm sure Tom read all, the steps have to be done in order to refresh or
correct any bug.

I put my suggestion on the other post.

Good luck

Hello white knight,

The easy way to correct problems, is follow the instructions, the
instructions are given because are been probe to work on the mayority of
cases. No matter what simple or confuse they are. Also when evrery fails, go
back to square one and read the intructions, the Help file or the manual.

Go to the top of this page and read Cowboys post.

Also if you use the box on top of this page Search For: and write something
related with the problem, I'm sure you find the answer.

Good luck

I hope this post is helpful, let us know how it works ºut.

There are a number of bits of advice I'll be thoroughly pleased to be able
to stop posting when beta2 appears. This is pretty nearly the top one, I
think. FWIW, this isn't my formulation--I believe it was Tom Emmelot who
came up with it--it's a lot easier to describe than the process of finding
the clock formats and choosing a 12 hour one versus a 24 hour one.

Failure to scan is a different issue. I'm not sure I have any specific
answers to that--my general suggestion for troubleshooting is to set the
scan time to one you can easily observe--5 minutes from "now", for
example--and try to see what's really going on. There are a number of
scheduling related bugs--if you want to see a funny one, set your scan time
to 10:00 AM.
(looks odd, but should work just fine--my system is set that way.)

There must be an administrator logged into the machine at the designated
scan time--this program runs as a user-mode process--not as a system
service.

All this will change with beta2.
