I am looking for a freeware anti-virus program to run on Windows 2003 Server Standard.

Thanks.

Thank you.

I have been using the server at home for personal use with AVG but with version 6 being discontinued, version 7 doesn't work on 2003 server. Another post mentioned AntiVir and avast which I also looked into, and they also will not work with server software.

Clamwin's Licence is GPL

Note

ClamWin Free Antivirus does not include an on-access real-time scanner,
that is, you need to manually scan a file in order to detect a virus.
Microsoft Outlook Addin and POP3 Proxy (coming soon), however will
delete a virus-infected attachment automatically.

I heard in the AntiVir forum that AntiVir does not run on Windows 2003
server because this operating system is meant for business environments and
thus quite unlikely to be found in private use.
