anti-virus confusion

My system has be slowing lately when on the net and I knew there was a
conflict somewhere. I was using PC-Cillan by Micro Trend and was happy with
it, but my ISP offered a new firewall/anti-virus program for free and thought
I would try it. I didn't notice it said to NOT install if you had othe
antivirus programs installed. I did disable it, but that was all. Well,
there was major conflicts and I promptly removed the new thing that was
offered by Earthlink...or I thought I removed it.

Lately my system has come to a crawl and I decided to check out why. Seems
that my PC-Cillan was running, but along with Authentium for my antivirus AND
firewall. Imagine my surprise since I thought I had removed this. I
contacted Earthlink and they suggested I download their new program for
security control since I had removed the other one and no controls were left
to set preferences, etc. They suggested I remove PC-Cillan before installing
the new program offered from Earthink.

I have done exactly that. My machine is running much faster and accroding
to Windows security center, my firewall is Earthlink, but at the antivirus
section, it says there is more than one antivirus program running (at least
one is up to date according to the info), but I can not figure out what other
program is running. I have looked in Add/Remove Programs and on my start/all
programs. I have nothing it indicate another program.

How do I find the other program to remove it? Help.

Your best option is to remove all your antivirus, anti-spyware and
firewall programs completely and then start again. You should ask each
program's tech support for instructions on how to remove each program
manually (if necessary) and follow those instructions carefully.
