Antec True380XRP?

We've just RMAd the PSU out of an Antec Sonata case and got the wrong
power supply sent back by Ebuyer (UK). This wouldn't normally be
interesting apart from the fact that the replacement is configured like
nothing I've ever seen before.

It's labelled Antec True 380 XRP with PFC, and the weird thing is, there
is no mains socket, switch or fan on what would be the outside of the
case. Instead there is a socket on the inside next to where the ATX
cables come out. It is supplied with an short extension cable which
presumably screws into the case somewhere and plugs into this interior
socket.

There's no information on the Antec web site about it at all - the only
mention I can find on google is someone going on about it in Dutch who
sounds like he's as mystified as me.

Is this a specialist supply they make for some non-standard case? Why
would they bother making it ATX form factor?

I have just received the same power supply from eBuyer. I'm pretty upset
about it because its clearly labeled as XRP and since I'm not the only
person with this its obvious they're doing it deliberately. Who knows why?

Its even more annoying since the returns procedure on eBuyer takes a
long time!

This would not be suitable for ANY standard case I have ever seen.
