Just reinstalled my xp home pc and first noticed that under computer
name..advanced the primary dns suffix for this computer was
????find-quick.com?? same under network tcp configs.
ie 6 was updated to include all updates..the nearest I can figure out is
that the times of the install of several desktop shortcuts...adult,
gambling etc were he same as when I downloaded msn messenger..
Nothing in the startup or ipconfig or add remove programs.I have run adaware
which found the rogue files and deleted them...but the tool bar is still in
explorer! Tried spybot which found a few more things to "fix" but still the
toolbar appears in explorer..lop.com is common to all links in the toolbar.
I will restore to prior time..but thought I would check here first?
Thanks for response
