another IE in the same computer?

Hi.

Does anyone have any idea about how to install another IE version in
windows? And i'm not talking about an "easy microsoft setup". But about
uncompress the cabs, patch files, create another setup, etc...

I'm a web developer and in my company we need to test some sites to work
with old versions of IE. Other browsers are simple to install dozens of
versions in other dirs, but for IE5 we need an old computer with win98...

What i wanted was to create a IE5 (and probably IE 5.5 too) install to
run in a separated dir in the developer/designer computer.

Does anyone have any idea if this is possible? Or is there any project
already trying this? Any help would be useful.

Thanks.

The only way I know how to do this on the same computer would be to have
separate operating systems. Upon booting you could choose which OS to
load and that OS would have the version of IE you want.
