I've reviewed all the references I can find to free space problems and can't
quite get mine figured out. On a, supposedly, 40 gig drive partitioned, c: 4
gig, e: 15, f: 15, with FAT 32, the C: drive show up as 3.7 gig. My Windows
directory shows 1.8 gig, Program Files shows 300 MB and Settings is 148 MB.
That's 2.24 or so. Windows shows my C: free space as 175 MB now. What is
the discrepancy between the file sizes and the drive capacity? I am missing
a whole gig and shouldn't be out of space. Of course 15+ 15 + 4 doesn't
equal 40 either.
I have the recycle bin set to 100 MB. I have Windows Restore turned off.
What's up?
AMD 1.3 gig, 512 ram.
Thanks
