I too am getting the blue screen of death - at least once a day. Here's what
I have equipment-wise:
Dell XPS 720
Intel Core 2 2.4Ghz w/Quad Core
4 GB DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz
Dual NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX 768Mb
1 WD Raptor 160GB 10K Sata HD
2 WD Raptor 70GB 10K Sata HD
1 WD 240GB 5000K HD
X-Fi PCI Sound Card
2 48x Combo and 16x DVD +/-RW
Operating System is Vista Home Premium and is current on all updates.
All hardware drivers are up to date.
Problem: Besides the fact that it seems like my hard drive(s) run
constantly, the system locks up at least once a day and provides me with the
blue screen of death.
The screen reads:
Kernel_Stack_Inpage_Error
Technical Info:
Stop: 0x00000077 (0XC000000E,0XC000000E,0X00000000,0X0A8A5000)
Unfortunately for me, I can't point to a specific incident that caused this
to start happening, as I have had intermittent problems ever since I got the
computer in September. It has gradually gotten worse.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated and will make my your
devout friend for life (well maybe not that long, but at least until Windows
figures out how to make a fool proof OS, which well maybe life). Please bare
in mind I am computer literate, but not a guru.
