Hi,
I'm working on a large document that includes several sections and page
orientation changes. Takign a look on it I found in some pages a
horizontal line just over the header and under the footer. It is not
part of the footer/header and there is no way to select it (both in
footer/header or normal mode).

Any ideas what it is and how could I delete these lines?

Thanks,
Carlos Yáñez S.

Sounds like you might have text boundaries turned on.

Click TOOLS in the menu and select OPTIONS. Click the VIEW and in the PRINT
AND WEB LAYOUT OPTIONS, click the TEXT BOUNDARIES check box to turn off this
option if there's a check mark present.

It could be a paragraph border. Put the cursor in the header and then look
in Format > Borders and Shading -- click the None icon. If that works for
the header, repeat it for the footer.
