Annoying "Bloop" Sound!!

B

Brian

Every time I click on something in IE 6.0, I hear this
loud and annoying "bloop" sound. It started a few weeks
ago and I don't know why it started and I don't know how
to stop it.

Any ideas? I had already turned off "play sounds in web
pages" in IE Internet Options/Advanced/Multimedia.

Thanks.

Got PestPatrol??? <BG>

Right click your shortcut to PP>properties>find target>rename the cookie
crunch.wav to cookiecrunch.oldwav That'll stop it. If you like, you can
substitute a more pleasing sound from .wav file libraries (or make your own
with sound recorder), place that .wav file in the directory for PestPatrol
and name it Cookiecruch.wav.

Oops...*typo*! That should be CookieCrunch.wav - should you decide to make
and use another sound of your own making, or from established .wav file
libraries.

You have every right to think exactly what I've told you, AND, you can have
it in any color, as long as it's red. :-D

No, I wasn't Ad(vised)- "Aware" (heh-heh) of it until you brought it to my
attention. So, a tip 'o the hat is in order. Thanks Jan. ;-)

Installed, and ran it; nothing out of the ordinary was detected. But we have
yet another round of ammo to use in the fight should the situation call for
it. ;-)

And you're prolly right; cornbread (have to place the proper punctuation
mark or it reads *really* wrong. <BG>) prolly is a lot better. And can I say
*WoW?! French/Cherokee... zat ees veary eenteresting. ;-))

Thought you might like to have another Silver bullet in your belt. That is
a really nasty one, and very difficult to kill. It don't want to go quietly
into that good night. said:

Well now, my grandmother would have my ears if I didn't have cornbread in
the house at all times? <g>

And I bet you say that to all the French/Cherokee girls. <VBG>

<G> But yeah, it should be the ticket to salvation for some.

It was the second go round on the plugin, and it just came on the pipeline
this afternoon. It is so fast, I had to look twice to see that it was done
already. But, my system was clean anyway. With this thing, this may be the
only way to get rid of it thus far.

Yeah...it's as quick as the CoolWebSearch -SmartSearch2- Mini-Removal tool
CoolWWWSearch variant (21. January 2004)

CoolWWWSearch.SmartKiller (v1 and v2) variant of CoolWWWSearch. When
running, it will close every browser window you use to visit a large list of
anti-spyware-sites, and even will close Spybot-S&D and some other
anti-spyware applications as well.
