Animations disappearing

The following problem has suddenly popped up and I can't find a solution:

In Slide Show all animations run through correctly in sequence, but after
the last object animates, all animated elements disappear as a group in Slide
Show view. I have not set them to hide after animation. This happens before
advancing to another slide and without clicking a mouse button.

What's going on? Help!

Double click on the added effects, go to Timing tab.
Is "Rewind when done playing" checked?
If so, uncheck it.
