Animating arrow connectors

T

Tom Jones

I have a PP 2007 slide with several boxes connected by arrows. During the
presentation, I would like to demonstrate a "flow" where each arrow "grows"
from one box to the other in the order of the flow when the space bar is
hit, however I have no idea how to do this or even Google search it.

Can someone give me some advice or point me to some useful
documentation/tutorials.

Hi Tom

The easiest way to achieve this is by applying a wipe entrance animation to
the connectors:
1. Select an arrow
2. Animations -> Custom animations -> Add effect -> Entrance -> Wipe (if
it's not in the list goto More effects - it's under Basic
3. In the custom animation task pane change Direction to From Left (or
whatever is appropriate) and change speed if desired.
4. Repeat! (actually you could just select all the arrows in step one then
re-order them in the animation taskpane until you get the desired effect)

Hope that helps. Micrososft offer some pretty good online courses if you
want to find out more about animations:

Animations haven't changed between 2003 & 2007 so you can do the 2003 courses.
