animated gifs possible in appointments/reminders?

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but I've tried to put animated
gifs in outlook appointments and reminders. I can only seem to put static
graphics. Can someone advise how I can put animated graphics into the text
portion of an appointment?

When you add an animated graphic, you won't see the animation, but your
recipient will.

item bodies are RTF formatted and don't support animation.
