AnalogVHS-to-MM2-to-AnalogVHS

Below is my response to a post that I came across (below-
below) from Feb28, and thought I'd post my response as a
new message, since the original was so old.

This device may be what you need:

http://www.canopus.us/US/products/ADVC-100/pm_advc-100.asp

I have one of these, but am just now starting to use it.
It's called the Canopus ADVC-100; connects to the PC via
an IEEE-1394 "Firewire" port; allows bi-directional
passage of both digital and analog signals; has IN/OUT
ports for both RCA and S-video connections.

It's just a little box (about 6"x5"x1") with connections
on both the front and back and apparently contains
somekind of bi-directional "capture card" inside (though
I'm still unclear as to what a "capture card" really is).

Ok, let me rephrase my question?

I have an ANALOG VCR.
I have a computer.
I have WindowsXP Home.
I have Windows MovieMaker 2.0.

Is there anyone out there who captures video from an Analog VCR, edits
the captured content using MovieMaker 2.0, and makes a VHS tape of the
edited content?

How are you accomplishing this?

Analog VCR tape --> Computer --> edit with MM2 --> Analog VCR tape

I do not have a DVD burner on my computer.
I do not have a DVD player that is compatible with VCD.
I do not have a DV camcorder.
I do not want to spend any more money on this than I
must!

Did you ever figure out how to record from VHS to MM2 and then get it from MM2 back to VHS? I don't have the same covertor as you but it is similar. It is an ADS pyro A/V link. If you know how could you please tell me? Thanks
