"An Object Could Not Be Located" When Trying To Comppress Folders

I am using Outlook 2003. When I click on the Advanced option under Properties
for Personal Folders in order to compress it, I get a message saying "The
Operation Failed" because "An Object Could Not Be Located". I am concerned
because if I can't compress my Personal Folders they will continue to expand
until I have a bad problem. This looks like it might be an Outlook bug, but
I'm not sure. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

John

Well, if you're using Outlook 2003 and your PST is an Outlook 2003-format
PST, then you shouldn't worry because Outlook 2003 PSTs can get bigger than
your disk can hold.

If you'd really like to fix the problem though, the easiest way I know is to
create a new PST, make it your delivery location, stop and restart Outlook,
and move everything from the old PST to the new one. That will certainly
cure any problem the old PST contains.

Brian,

Thanks for your response. I will create a new PST, and if it compresses OK,
I will move all of my old folders into it.

Let us know if it works.
