System: Compaq Proliant. OS: Windows 2003 Server
AMI SCSI Megaraid - 2 40 GB Hard Drives
On boot up a message is displayed that system is running in Degraded Mode
due to a disk failure. The Megaraid IDE Setup Utility shows that Array # 00
is degraded and Array # 01 is online. 00 is the boot drive. (I tried
switching the boot drive selection and the machine wouldn't boot. Put it
back.)
Would appreciate any links or info. on how to best troubleshoot this and on
the setup utility. I especially am looking for documentation. I can't
find any decent documentation on this. Apparently AMI sold this RAID
product to ISlogic, but there's not much info there.
Also, the client does not have his Windows 2003 CD, which greatly
complicates the problem as I cannot just replace disks and restore from
tape.
