AMD opteron 270 processor review pl????

Hi All:
Has anyone gotten experience with Opteron dual core process 270? Are
there any recommendations?
Can someone share experieces with HP XW9300 series workstations? I am
considering to buy HP workstation XW9300 series with two(2) Opteron
dual core 270 processors because of price and specifications. I need it
mainly for linux based server for running number crunching jobs.
However, I don't have any experience with AMD processor machines. How
is the heat dissipation management (sink, fan etc) in AMD processor
based machines and HP XW9300 series? Are there any -ves with AMD based
system?

Can anyone share experiences?
