AMD in trouble

R

Robert Myers

they got complacent - just as Intel did with there Pentium-3.

k8L (now called the k10 even though the "real" k10 is now cancelled??)
should have been out one year ago, and imo probably would have had AMD
not gotten overly confident.

out in August now? - pulled back two months...............so far.

Hmmm. Is it complacency, or lack of capital?

AMD (and nearly everyone else knew) that it didn't matter if AMD had
the most wonderful processor in the world if they couldn't make enough
of them. That means putting capital into manufacturing capacity.

Now it doesn't matter how many processors AMD can build if no one
wants them at a price that allows AMD to be healthy and profitable.

You can only draw to an inside straight so many times and stay in the
game.

Robert.
