Am looking for a file of english language swear words

This is not a joke - I'm developing an anti-spam plugin and am looking for a
collection (as large as possible) of swear words in the english language.

I'd prefer them in a form I could load into a SQL Server database, but hey,
I'm desparate - I'll try anything !

thanks if you can help,

- peteZ

This site has swear words in about every language, except english..
However, every language comes with an english translation, so it could
get your started.

I doubt it'll be a very big list!
There aren't really that many real swear words.
You got the F word, the C word, the MF word, the B word and the S
words.
After that it all gets a bit descriptive ( and usually biological ),
but then you run into problems with crossover ( he strokes the pussy,
his cock crows at dawn ) etc...a fact that's made much use of in
certain UK sitcoms from the 1970's.
And then it all gets a bit absurd...with derogatory terms such as
muppet and numpty...which, I feel, come under the banner of
colloquialisms.

I think too that the spammers might already be one step ahead of you -
either that or they're terrible spellers.

In addition, the spam I get/got hardly ever includes swearing. Filtering
for words like 'viagra', 'mortgage', 'diploma', '$', 'stock' and 'inches'
has almost completely got me spam-free.
I do have the advantage of living in a non-english speaking country where
we use the metric system, as most spam still comes from the USA (with China
as a strong runner-up). This makes it much easier to filter.

I agree totally. But there are so many variations of 'spelling' of these
words as well. I use regular expressions to filter on, and likewise have
an almost spam free life. For example ...

viagra = v[\W _]{0,2}[i1lí][\W1 _]{0,2}([a@]|\/\\)[\W _]{0,2}([gr][\W _]
{0,2}){0,2}[a@]

mortgage = m[\W _]{0,2}[o0][\W _]{0,2}r[\W _]{0,2}t[\W _]{0,2}g[\W _]
{0,2}[a@][\W _]{0,2}g[\W _]{0,2}e
