Alternate to the OWC Pivot Table ActiveX control?

Does anyone know of an alternate pivot table ActiveX control that will
work with MS Access 2000/2002? I mean an alternate to the interesting
but feature limited, slow, poorly documented, and basically unsupported
(i.e. classic Microsoft product) OWC pivot table? I need the control to
be programmable, with a full event model. I need it to be relatively
fast with medium sized data sets. I need it to work with MS Access,
preferably on both forms and reports. I need the product to have tech
support available, where the techs are familiar with the product.

I can't say I'm giving up on the OWC pivot table at this point, but
that's only because I don't know of an alternative.

I'm not aware of any other pivot table. i think, but i'm not sure, that
microsoft owns the licensing rights to this component so it shouldn't be
popping up as a freebie anywhere. i could be wrong on this though, but i'll
look around see if i can locate one.

Hi Alvin

I'm sure that MS owns the licensing rights to the OWC. But I would
prefer to work with another pivot component that works with Access, if
there is one. MS does not own the pivot table concept, it was invented
by Lotus quite a while back. So OWC licensing is not the issue here. It
could be that none of the ActiveX tool vendors have put one together,
but if so it's a surprising omission.

right right. that's what i was trying to say but didn't do a very good job
of it. my search turned up nothing. you may try the aspnet user group to see
if any one knows anything more
