Alternate Calendar - Reminders

How do I set up an alternate calendar to allow reminders? When I try to set
up a reminder in an alternate calendar, it gives the error message: "The
reminder will not appear because the item is not in your Calendar or Tasks
folder"

Reminders only work in your default folders (Calendar, Contacts, Tasks,
Notes, Inbox). If you need reminders to work in other folders, you'll need a
third party program like Reminder Manager from www.slovaktech.com.

Although that warning message will still be shown. It's hard-coded into
Outlook can can't be removed even if my utilities are providing reminders
from the alternate folders. The warning just has to be ignored in that case.
