Alt text box empty

Last week, our office experienced a power failure, and it has caused
the light yellow Alt text box for a user's IE6 to be blank when
hovering over images. The box appears, its just completely empty,
every time. The user is running IE 6 on Windows XP Pro. Closest thing
I can think of would be a registry setting somewhere, but I'm not sure
what to check.

I've tried checking the "Always expand Alt text for images" option
under the Advanced settings, and then closing and re-opening IE, but
that doesn't make a difference.

Right click an empty area on the desktop, choose Properties...Appearance
tab, Advanced button. In the Item drop down menu, choose Tooltip. The
default font should be Tahoma, size 8.
