Hi, It was easy to alphabetise Favourites on W98 but I have never been able
to do it on XP.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Patti

If you put a number first you will find numerics sort before alpha. My
folder containing all favourites relating to internet searches is
"1.Search"

Hope this helps.

Hi, Thanks to all who tried to help me.
As I said, I had no trouble with this on W98 so because I still have W98 on
a separate partition, I went back to it and sure enough it worked just as
everyone said it would. I then went to XP and tried what you suggested again
but it would never say "sort by name".
Finally, I found if I R clicked on the Favourites icon on the top toolbar,
another list would drop down and that had "sort by name", my W98 did not do
that. Anyway, your suggestions got me poking around again and this
irritating tic has been solved.
Thanks, Patti

Don't know why that would be...

....but glad you've got it fixed in the end! Thanks for posting back.
