Allow program to send emails

Jeremy Workman

Windows 2000 Pro SP4,
Office XP SP3,

A program on this computer automatically sends emails
through outlook. This happened with no trouble with Office
2000, but I just installed Office XP and i get a message
stating that a program is trying to send email and gives
me the option to allow, deny, or cancel. The Big problem
is that this program sends hundreds of emails each day to
the entire base, and clicking yes hundreds of times takes
waaaay too long. How do i configure Outlook XP to always
allow emails to be sent by this program all the time?

It's probably not Outlook holding you back. Sounds like "Zonealarm". Next
time the message pops up, look for "Allow" "Deny" and a third box that means
"Always do this..." It won't continue to ask you any longer.

Already thought of that. There are only three buttons and
no checkbox. I know this has something to do with one of
the OXP security patches, but is there a way to keep the
patch and make one exception for a program sending email?

Outlook 2002 SP3 adds additional properties to the list of those that are
affected by the security features. As a result, one of your add-ins needs
updated to the latest version - antispam add-ins are a common cause
although others are affected by the changes as well. Many add-ins were
updated following the release of Outlook 2003 and should work with SP3, if
not you'll need to contact the vendor for a newer version.

applications known to trigger the warning.
