All users access a database at once

Hi, i have a question regarding the database that I created last year gives
all the self pay team members access to log on at the same time, but here
recently one user can not sign on when the other users are on. They have to
sign off so she can sign on once the user is signed on then the other users
can sign back on. Could someone help me out.

Thanks

Sounds like this user is opening the database exclusively.

On that user's machine, go to:
Tools | Options | Advanced
and set Default Open Mode to:
Shared

Hi, thanks for your reply

I tried that this morning and it shows that the database is shared.

Okay, what's supposed to happen is that the first user into the database
determines the open mode.

If the user opens exclusively, no LDB file is created, and no other users
can get in.

If this user is not able to create the LDB, they can't open shared, and so
it is still opened exclusively. There may be some reason why this user
cannot create the LDB. For example, they may not have permissions for
creating a file in that folder. Or if they are using JET security, and the
MDW file is in the same folder and has the same name as the MDB, the LDB
created for the MDW may prevent them creating the LDB for the MDB.
