All outlook emails have become notes

Hi,

My father in law runs Outlook 2002 on XP Home.

He's somehow managed to convert an entire folder of stored emails into notes.

I have no idea what or how he's done this, but can anyone please tell me how
to convert them back to the original emails?

If I drag them to an email folder, then a Word window opens up with the
default email template, asking for a recipient address, so presumably outlook
thinks I'm trying to email the note, not convert it back to an email!

Right-click the folder containing the items and choose Properties. What
does "Type" say?

me how to convert them back to the original emails?

Can't he tell you, since he's the one who did it?

Has he tried starting Outlook once with the /resetfolders command switch?
