All-in-Wonder 9800 Pro Won't Display

F.

Hi,

I was wondering if someone has run into any known problems
with the All-in-Wonder 9800 Pro. I just put together
this system and it just won't boot up. It seems that the
video card just won't display (unless the card itself is
defective).

The unit does get power as all fans and LEDs light up.
However, I see no video and hear no beep. I have
tried several working graphics cards from other
PCs and and this card is the one that doesn't display.

The system is:

Intel P4 2.8 Ghz 2x 512b ram
Soyo Dragon Ultra P4X400
Radeon 9800 Pro 128
120GB Hard Drive
CD-RW and DVD drives
Creative SB Audigy
400 watt power supply

Thanks
Felix

sounds like its the card by the looks of this statement, maybe the PSU, on the longshot some weird Bios setting for video?

You probably need to get a power supply that has a higher amp rating
on the +12V line. Check this on your current PSU and see if you have
at least 15A and hopefully more.

Pull the video board and power up the system. The system should
beep out the no video error code.
Another thing youi can try is resetting the bios with the jumper
and follow the instructions in the mother board manual.

Yeah...it would very tough to go swapping cards just troubleshoot
for this one.

I have yet to install this card in a working PC and be able to boot.

First time I ever had this much problem with a video card.

Thanks for the suggestion.

The PSU is a Silence 400 ATX. The box says 12V @ 15A. No
luck.

wait doesn't the 9800 pro have alternate power connector that needs to be connected to the board?

Yes, You must connect a drive power cable (large Molex) to the connector on the
ATI 9800 Pro for it to function.
