Have you applied SP1? It fixes all known causes of this problem.

If you have applied SP1 try installing Microsoft XP update for SP1 fo
fax problem. The update is Q322011 and is located on the Microsoft we
site. I installed it after I started getting the message "All fa
printers are inaccessable". I also have SP1 installed some time ago.

Actually, that hotfix is for an unrelated problem caused by third party apps
that overwrite the open verb for some graphics files and prevents preview of
faxes from within the Fax Console. It is not intended to correct the problem
with the absent Fax Monitor. I'd be surprised if it does.

Not sure I posted my original message correctly. While the fa
console was available the fax monitor was not. Also I could not vie
what was in the fax console in/out/sent/etc.
This problem has occured twice. The first time was when I install
new epson 925 printer, aol 9.0 and a sundisk digital camera reader.
Either aol or epson had me reset something in my system (not th
register) and the problem went away. The second time I installe
Franklin Covey and some game software. We don't use the fax everyda
so didn't notice the problem until too late to use goback an
reinstall one thing at a time to find the problem. However, th
hotfix solved both the problems I was having. Thanks to those of yo
who post on this site as it has been helpful to me.
