ALL change/remove buttons missing from Add or Remove Programs

I opened the Add and Remove Program utiltiy in Control panel to remove a
program, but suddenly I find that ALL my program entires are missing the
"change" or "Remove" option buttons. Whenever I select any program form the
list,
those option buttons do not show up at all, only the program name, file
size, and date last used. I cannot change or remove any program! I am running
Windows XP Home edition and just recently installed ZoneAlarm Internet
Security Suite - could that possibly cause this? Any help would be very much
appreciated. Thank you.

If "A" (Computer) was doing great - then "B" (ZoneAlarm) came along and "A"
(Computer) now is not well - I would certainly suspect "B".

AJR ("C"), I have since removed ZoneZlarm ("B") but the problem on my
computer ("A") is still exsists. Are there anymore suggestions ("D"),
you can offer to me ("E"). By the way AJR ("C"), as a first time newbie
poster here, let me thank you for a very warm and helpful first response.

Thought I would check out the Microsoft Knowledge Database regarding the
problem - however it is "down" at this time - will check later.

Oops - had a quick thought - have you tried in safe mode? In Home XP , safe
mode operates in administrative mode.
