I have two drives and would like to have the page
file stored on the second drive. I did this once but
can not remember how to do it again. I go to
Control panel, system, advance, performance/settings,
advance, virtual memory/change but I can't change
the drive that the page file is stored on.

Highlight the drive you want it put on, and either select system
managed or select Custom. and choose suitable initial and max sizes - I
suggest Initial should be enough to come to 500 MB when added to RAM,
or 100 MB, whichever is more, and the Max as big as convenient - up to
say twice RAM or 2000. Once done, click the Set button.
Then highlight the C where the file has been, custom and set initial 2
Max 50 - if you don't have the potential for some file there, the system
will sulk. Click Set again; OK out, clicking Apply wherever available
and reboot

I followed your instructions and everything worked great!
After rebooting I saw the 50 meg "Pagefile.sys" in the root directory
of drive 1 and a 2000 meg "Pagefile.sys" in the root directory of
drive 2. A little later when I ran Windows Defrag on drive 1 I saw a small
area
of unmovable files (green) that looked to represent the 50 meg
"Pagefile.sys".
Also, while defragging drive 2 I could see the 2000 meg unmovable file
(green).
A few days later I noticed that the file "pagefile.sys" on drive 1 is gone
and
during defrag of that drive, no unmovable files (green) are shown.
Drive 2 is still the same and everything is working OK.
Done a search, files/folders, and the only "pagefile.sys" found is on drive
2.
Drive 1 is the boot Partition.
Question...What happen to the "pagefile.sys" file on drive 1???
I thank you for the help...Dave
