alarm/macro question

Hey everybody! What I need to know is this: is there a way to set Windows to
do a customized task for me so that I don't have to hear my alarm clock every
morning?

What I would like to do is basically create a "macro" thats used in windows
itself, much like a macro in MS Office. I would like to set the computer to
automatically mute the sound at midnight, then unmute it at 830 in the
morning and open up a music program and play a song.

is there any way to do this or any program I should get to make it happen?

thanks!!

Google for alarm clock programs. I'm sure there are many freeware ones.

but is there a program that will also let me mute the sound at a certain time?

an example of what i want to do is this: whenever AOL Explorer is doing a
tutorial on something like clearing your internet cache file, they show you
how to do it and the program "takes over" the mouse and does everything for
you.

any thoughts?

Malke, he's not looking for an alarm clock. He wants to mute and
unmute his sound at specified times.

If *.cmd files could be written to do this, they could easily be
scheduled with the Scheduled Tasks tool. But I don't know of anything
that would switch sound on and off from the command line.
