I had a similar problem before. You need to connect your sound card
to the Aux Line -In on the ATI card, then select Line-In as the audio
source. That all I did. Good luck.

Make sure your set up to record from the input on the sound card that the
all-in-wonder is attached to.

FWIW,

I've had this problem before, but it always was a "one shot deal" that just
happened, and then everything was OK.

It may very well have occurred just after driver or MMC upgrades, which I've
done several times.

Did hacking the registry solve the problem?

It's easy to forget to select and adjust the appropriate sound card
input in the "recording controls" as well as in the "playback
controls", which I find easier to manage with the regular Windows
mixer. Normally the Audigy defaults to "what-you-hear", which should
work.

What did you do??

I have the same problem - in my case upgrading from Catalyst 4.6 and
MMC 9.0 to 4.7 and 9.1 produced the identical result - "Audio: No
Audio" in all the presets when it should be something like "Audio:
48.000 KHz, 16 Bit, Stereo". (An audio setting is not even available
when editing a preset.) Recording worked perfectly before this step.
No hardware changes at all, only software.

It's actually a deeper problem than no sound or low volume -
recordings viewed in a video editor have a video track, but no audio
track whatsoever. Of course, sound works fine during TV viewing.

I've gotten it working again by uninstalling everything and
reinstalling the original software from the distribution CD (after
many intermediate installations), but I want the latest versions back!
I don't give up easily either. I've been investigating the registry
too, and am getting close, but if you still have the specific keys
necessary to fix this, I'd be very greatful.

Thanks!
