Age of empires

hello

I have a problem. I can play the game without a problem when starting a new
game but anytime I attempt to start a saved game that I have played for a
while the system shuts the game down as it is trying to load. I have tried
this in the both age of empires and the rise of rome expansion and I am a
little frustrated. what is wrong?

Hi fun loving smb,

I've seen some security software suites and antivirus software
cause that exact issue by somehow corrupting the data either
during the creation of the file or during the save game loading.
