After splitting Database

Hi all,
I am testing the splitting of our database and am having some problems.
The database is linked to various other databases and I think that is why
the wizard won't work. I split the database manually and now I find the
Hyperlinks on the switchboard are set to a relative path - just database.mdb
- when I try to set it to the correct path - G:\Database\just database.mdb,
access always sets it back to the relative path. I am not sure if it does
this before or after I copy the file to a different area - from G drive to
local C drive.
Any Ideas what I am doing wrong and how to correct?
Thanks

Nope - not for multiple backends. It's designed to take a unitary
database and create a backend.

I'm confused. Splitting the database simply moves the Tables to the
backend, and links them; I wasn't aware it did anything at all with
the Switchboard, nor that the switchboard has hyperlinks on it at all.
Are we talking about two different things???
