after installing july 16ths patches

After installing the new security updates with the windows
update service i rebooted as prompted. Afterwards when i
got online my computer froze, no blue screen of death.
Now, its hard to believe but that rarely happens on my
machine. At first I didn't bother with it because it
happens. After the second boot, the same thing happened
and so forth. Then it came to a point where i would
reboot and my machine won't even start up, no beep sound
when successful boot happens. After a few tries i got it
up and running but im still getting the same problem. Is
it a coincident that all these problems arose from this
security update or maybe this update made new flaws.

Throw your operating system disk in the cd drive, boot,
and repair the operating system. This takes about 20
minutes. I've been sucessful repairing recent virus
attacks with this process.
