after boot from vista DVD all I can see is the mouse pointer help

I am trying to reinstall Windows Vista to my Desktop computer, currenly
running on 64bit vista, wanting to go back to 32bits for games

when I first boot vista up from DVD, all I can see is the vista background
and mouse pointer. it won't go any further to the next screen (enter serial
no screen).

The configuration of my PC is core 2 duo with 2G of Memory, ASUS motherboard
all vista certified and 1 SATA disk.

any suggestion will be really appreciate it.

Curious

What 32bit games do you have that would not run on 64bit Vista but that you
know will run on 32 bit Vista.?
