running the nvidia gforce chipset, fx5200 and a couple of driver issues i
think.
there are artifacts on boot and login, the desktop *looks* fine, but windows
has decided that i dont need the transparencies. they worked on install, but
i have tried (as suggested by nvidia) to use their vista driver, but that and
the beta xp/2000, AND the stock xp/2000 driver all have the same artifacting,
except the nvidia drivers are actually slower, and there are several issues
now surrounding the nvidia control panels.
short of a reinstall i have been unsucessful in bringing the effects back
online, even though i have reverted back to the bundled nvidia driver. is
there a controll panel available that will let me over ride what windows
thinks is best?
saw this in a simlar thread but i get a not found error (just cut'n'paste i
have done no research yet.. 'Fixed by running "winstat aurora" from the Run
box'
sry for length of post.. we are a bit more long winded in the Linux
community (my 3d accelerated desktop runs very nicely there ;P )
