could be hidden in your system restore files.

This means that you may have to turn off system restore and then rescan in
safe mode.

I had a trojan that was hidden in restore and took me about a week to get
rid of it.

If you wipe the drive and reinstall from a bare drive, then the system will
be clean till you re-run whatever installed the malware. If you run a
repair install, you will not fix the problem.

Some manual removal instructions are here. If you're not comfortable with
using the registry editor, get someone who is comfortable to deal with it.

Really, what you should install is Ad-Aware Se, which is designed for adware
removal, which is similar to SpyBot Search and Destroy

Hi User,
First how do you know you have this Spyware/Adware on your system?.
Some website will show Pop Ups even your Machine Secure/Clean, try to set
your Norton Firewall to block Adds on your computer.
Try to set your Pop Ups Blocker to Medium on your IE Properties under
Privacy Tab it may be set to low, clear your caches and cookies which keep
track of you and your surfing habit.
Download this freeware for spyware and update it to get the benifit from here:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com for lavasoft SE for personal use.
If you realy sure then download these tools/Utility from here and delete the
file/folder for this Spyware:
http://www.purgeie.com/delinv/index.htm
http://www.ccleaner.com
Be careful not going mad and delete whichever you want or think it is
Malware just this name which you are sure of and Temps files.

I've found that the free progam Ad-aware SE Personal - available at
http://www.adwarealert.com/index.php?hop=congoman has worked very well for
me. I go in and check for update definitions every day and I run it every
day. You'd be surprised of the junk that it picks up and eliminates. Try.
You have nothing to lose.
