Adware and spyware

Recently did a scan and found 2 considered adware threat files which I cannot
delete even in safe mode. the files are named as follows:
A0118359.cpy (I cannot find this compressed file said to be in the DIR
listed below and updaterinstall_112.exe
Can anyone tell me if these are valid Windows Xp files and should be allowed
to remain on my system in the following directories: A0118359.cpy is in a
compressed file C:\_restore\archive\fs685.cab

updaterinstall_112.exe is said to be in C:\

No luck getting rid of these files--what should I do?

updaterinstall_112.exe (spywares)

may have to manually delete it for now untill a spyware
scanner updates detections for it or scan with these.

This is in the System Restore folder, so you will have to disable System
Restore before you can remove it.
