Advice on new comp

I will take your advice and go with the monitor

So should I drop the CD/RW and DVD/RW and go with this:

Will I still be able to watch/burn DVD's and play/burn CD's?

the Iilyama monitor is a good choice, the DVD-RW will be able to read and burn just about all disc formats, including dual layer DVD's

Yes no problem at all you can do everything with that dvd-rw....

pretty good system... when you get it you'll have to post me some benchamarks as im getting a simular one and wanna see how good it is
