advice: OL 2k or 2003? - moving/sharing .pst with new laptop

hi

bought a new notebook running XP and Office 2003.. Desktop is running OL 2k
internet mail only version on Win2k. My highest immediate priority is being
able to open the .pst file and it's associated calendar on the notebook, so
I'm tempted to install OL 2k and once everything is hunky-dory
(fingers-crossed), maybe I'll upgrade to OL 2003, maybe not.

Should I install my old OL 2k on the notebook (and download updates???) or
purchase 2003?

thanks!

if your notebook already have office2003, why bother to install ol2k?
in office2003 you should already have outlook2003, by default can run
outlook2000's pst file

Be aware OL2003 format pst is not readable by earlier version OL.
You can, within OL2003, create an earlier format pst, readable by all OL
versions.
You will however lose the 'unlimited' pst size potential that is available
in OL2003

Upgrading is often problematic. Stick with 2003 and copy the old pst over or
create an ol97/2002 pst on the new machine.
