Advice needed & tutorials on ports and basic security to protect a network

Hi

Does any one know of any web sites that have tutorials on blocking
specific ports and security.

I have a network at work behind a Open systems 501R router that the
ISP configues and I have no idea which ports are blocked and if any
filters have been setup, I have requested this info and am considering
installing Zone alarm Pro on the NT4 server for extra protection as
ISA sounds a lot more complicated to configure.

I also have a lab at home with a Win2k server with Zone alarm Pro and
it does a great job of protecting my server and workstations.

Since this Blaster worm I've decided to learn a lot more about
securing both my home and work networks and would appreciate any
advice.
