Advice needed for discussion forum

I

Ian Baker

We are wanting to include a discussion forum in our site at
http://jackaroo.net.au and like the phpBB product at
http://www.phpbb.com/index.php. We are MS Access developers and don't
currently have time to start learning different technologies so we use FP
2003 (because it is quick and easy)and our site uses FP SE for form mail.

Has anyone ever successfully used the phpBB in this type of environment and
if so how?

Apparently I believe that you have to FTP phpBB by way of creating a subweb
so I presume there would be problems with the FP SE?

Our hosting features and technologies are at http://ucvhost.com/nt_jr.htm
and as our hosting is NT based we are governed by those technologies
although they also offer Unix based servers as well but I don't have the
time for the learning curve so are there any other discussion forums that I
could use under these conditions and environment (don't like the default
forum that you can create in FP)?

I really do appreciate your help/suggestions and wisdom.

Check these out!

They all run in ASP.

Thanks everyone
The links have enabled me to look at a lot of different alternatives and
have now settled for the megaBB. Extremely easy to install, works with FP
and publishing, leaves our FP Serv Ext in tact when publishing, powerful and
easy to use.
