I D/L antispyware and under advanced tools I have thec 3
choices, but under system explorer (to check for bho's)
I don't have anything.
Tried inserting things I found but didn't load.

What is the correct way to fix?

Thanks

Hello Oliver;

Try these two solutions:

1) do an update install--control panel, add or remove
programs, Microsoft Antispyware, change, update.

Then, try these steps:

1) Open up a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd)
2) Type in the following "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll" (without
the quotes).
3) Close and re-open Windows AntiSpyware

You can go ahead and do both of these--neither has any
downside risk--and
see if that does the job. Let us know whether it does, or
not!

Please report back the results.

Hello "Engel"
I am not at the computer now, I didn't update first, but I
tried both before I posted. The cmd prompt opened a dos
window in windows, I put in the same as your suggestions
and restarted MSAS but nothing happened. Should it open a
window in dos?

Thanks

Hello Engel,
I had the same issue
Updating MSAS from the control panel did not solve it.
However the DOS command "regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll" solved the
issue.

Thanks,
Jacob

Engel,

Thank you for this information! I, too, had been having
the same problem and had previously tried the first step
without success. After trying the 2nd step that you
suggested, however, my worries vanished as the program
began to work correctly again. Thanks!

Jason
