Adressing up to more than 2 Gb in Windows XP Pro SP2

I read on a technical note from the Adobe about the optimalization for
PhotoShop CS2 that it is possible to adress more than 2 Gb RAM through
something to change in the boot.ini. Is there somone who can tell me if that
is through and so how to do this. I have a Intel Entry Serverboard on my PC,
S875WP1-E with a Pentium 4 3,4 Ghz HT.

Martin,

You need to upgrade to WinXP SP2 64-Bit edition in order to see more than
3GB of RAM on your system.

WinXP SP2 32-Bit edition only can address 3GB of memory on your system.

Hope that helps.

note the diff between 2GB and 3GB?

You need to add /3gb switch to your boot.ini
RIGHT

but if I were you; I wouldn't worry about Adobe, they're roadkill

Aaron,
First of all thank you for your reaction. The matter is that I now have
installed 3 Gb of RAM under Windows XP Pro 32-bits, but the most applications
(I am not sure about the OS) don't reconize the apperance of the installed
memory. According too the technical note on the Adobe Site for PhotoShop CS2,
that has something to do with a switch in the boot.ini. I find that kinds of
things rather tricky, so I ask for advise on someone who has expirience with
this problem.
Greetings
