adprep /domainprep fail on child domain

Guest

I'm getting this in the log while running ADPREP /DOMAINPREP on Windows 2000 DC during upgrade to Windows 2003.
Does anyone have an idea where to look. I have full permission on the domain.

Adprep was unable to modify the security descriptor on object DC=prod,DC=john,DC=com.

[Status/Consequence]

ADPREP was unable to merge the existing security descriptor with the new access control entry (ACE).

[User Action]

Check the log file Adprep.log in the system root System32\Debug\Adprep\Logs directory for more information.

Adprep encountered a Win32 error.

Error code: 0x57 Error message: The parameter is incorrect..

Adprep was unable to update domain-wide information.

[Status/Consequence]

Adprep requires access to existing domain-wide information from the infrastructure master in order to complete this operation.

Can you show us the adprep.log file? That would have more details, as the
error indicates.
WIth that we should have a handle on what is failing.

Thanks!
~Eric
