When attempting to install Adobe Reader 8 in Vista I recieve " The Temp
folder is on a drive that full or inaccessible. Free up space on the drive or
verify you have write permission on the temp folder"

Have been thru all the security settings -and there's a lot- and cannot
figure this out. Also have lots of drive space.

Super Play

We had this same issue, to resolve we copoed the setup files which are
extracted prior to the erro to another location and run the setup from
there.

To do this

1) Show hidden files
Control Panel / Folder options / View and check "Show hidden files and
folders"

2) Run the install until the error and DO NOT click OK to the error

3) Click Start and click on your usename on the top right of the menu (To
open Your Files locaion)

4) Navigate to appdata\locallow\netopsystems\temp

5) Copy the folder "Adobe Reader 8.0" to another location i.e your desktop.

6) Click OK on the instllation erorr you got in step 2

7) Run the installaion from the extracted files whic you have just copied in
step 5

Herr Harper, You are correct Sir! Turning UAC back on solved the issue.

This can happen if you have disabled UAC, re-enable UAC both for safety's
sake and to get Adobe installed.
