ado and ado.net dissimilarities

Salam,

this is faisal and i want to know about vb.net
Actually, i am a programmer of Visual Basic and used to work with ado in order to have connectivity with database, now i want to move on .Net api but the problem is that, i can understand the tools provided by the .net but unable to work with ado.net.
Can any Please tell me all about this.

Faisal,

ADO.NET is a significant departure from ADO. In fact, probably the only
common thing between them is

a) The word "ADO"
b) They are both for data access.

Your best bet would be to pick up a book and start reading through it.
ADO.NET in my opinion is worth reading a book about.
