Administrator or user??

Howdy: I heard a little bird mention that it is better to set up a
user account and log on to Win2000 this way than by logging on as
Administrator all the time. Is this true and if so, why for?? I am
the only person who will lay hands on this machine and it seems to me
that it would be more convenient for me to log on as Admin.

Thanks

A virus will run under the account of the logged on user.

A virus running under an admin account would pretty much be unlimited in
what it can do.

True a lot of people have self updating virus protection but there is the
time between when a virus is discovered and the time a virus definition is
written and distributed.
