Dear all,

I got a folder that originally is under full control of everyone,
I removed the Everyone group and try to add three users to take full
control of
the folder but I forget to add the administrator account to have full
control of this folder. Now when I login as administrator, the server
only allow administrator to View the security permission of this
folder. the administrator
now have no right to change the security permission. How can I get
back the
full control of this folder for administrator?

Please help. and thanks.

Go into properties\Security\ advanced \owner and take ownership, even though
you have removed the admin account you should still be
able to take ownership.

The Administrator is a member of the Everyone group. By removing the
Everyone group before you adding any permissions for any other users or
groups, you've effective denied everyone access to and control of that
folder. If Jud's suggestion of taking ownership doesn't work, you'll
could try try to restore the folder (under a new name) from your most
recent backup.
